Magnolia Project
The Magnolia Project is a collaborative part of Culture Snob. The concept is to create a repository of information about and analysis of Paul Thomas Anderson's 1999 film Magnolia to which anybody may contribute.
This part of the Culture Snob site is a wiki, designed to make it easy for anybody to create and edit pages. However, because of spam vandalism, editing pages currently requires a password. E-mail me to acquire editing privileges.
Starting Points
The Magnolia Project wiki is an interconnected web of pages related to the movie Magnolia. Nearly all the content is accessible directly from the contents page.
If you're unfamiliar with wikis and how they work, explore the "Wiki Basics" links that can be found on the sidebar of every page.
Before contributing the site, you should familiarize yourself with the project's goals and ground rules.
Background
Jeff Ignatius, also known as Culture Snob, is the administrator of this site and the facilitator of the Magnolia Project. Please e-mail him with any questions.
The genesis of this project is the unfinished essay "Magnolia and Meaning" on Culture Snob. It was further spurred by a CommUniversity class that Ignatius led in February 2006.
This introductory page and several other core background pages are locked; only authorized users may edit them. This allows the administrator to maintain control over key pages and how the structure of the Wiki develops, but it does not prevent anybody from adding to or editing other Magnolia Project documents or creating new pages.
