Plants

In addition to character names that are also animals, several characters have names that are also plants: Rose Gator and the late Lily Partridge. It's interesting to note that these spouses of powerful men have married names that combine the plant and animal kingdoms.

And, obviously, the title Magnolia itself is a reference to a plant.
